ORIENTATION INTERVIEW – Dr Lili Pâquet
Ben and Kim are joined in the studio by Dr Lili Paquet, a Lecturer in writing from the Faculty of Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences and Education in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
Dr Lili Paquet specialises in writing studies, rhetoric, and literary criticism, with a particular interest in contemporary forms of authorship. Her current research focuses on digital literature and interdisciplinary climate change rhetorics. We asked her all about her teaching, her history, and her areas of interest.
She teaches the unit Writ102- Storytelling and Genre Writing. This unit is an introduction to writing creative narratives. It introduces students to essential storytelling techniques and provides a vocabulary for understanding the craft of constructing narratives that reflect genre conventions and reader expectations.
This interview is part of a series of Orientation Interviews, designed to make first-year students feel more at ease and reassured about what they can expect at UNE. Starting out at University can be highly overwhelming and we want to make sure that we do everything we can to ensure that students feel as comfortable as possible.
