Orientation Interviews: Ms Rikki Jones
Ben and Kim enjoyed having a chat with Ms Rikki Jones, a Lecturer at UNE in Nursing, during Orientation Week.
Ms Jones graduated from UNE with a Bachelor of Nursing in 2001, and spent 10 years in the emergency department and theatres of rural hospitals and MPS facilities.
She teaches HSNS170: Frameworks for Nursing Practice, a unit which introduces key elements of professional nursing practices and the standards for registered nurse activities, actions and decisions in Australia.
The unit explores the context of contemporary nursing with a focus on holistic, person-centred care.
