World No Tobacco Day with Dr Sally Bristow
TuneFM had the pleasure of chatting with UNE’s Dr Sally Bristow about World No Tobacco Day, a day that aims to raise awareness of the dangers of tobacco use, the activities of tobacco companies, and what should be done to protect people from tobacco-associated health issues.
Dr Bristow taught us all about World No Tobacco Day, walked us through the concept of smoking cessation, and give us some insight into her experiences and research.
“If we think about tobacco globally, why are we growing tobacco when we could grow food or feed our world? We know many in the third world are starving, so why are we growing tobacco?”
