New Partnership Between the Centre for Rural Criminology and Crimestoppers NSW
The Centre for Rural Criminology has partnered with Crimestoppers NSW on a new campaign targeting farmers, encouraging them to come forward about crimes happening to them and their farms, and educating them on how they can alert police.
We sat down with Dr Kyle Mulrooney, a lecturer in Criminology at UNE, and the co-director of the Centre for Rural Criminology. to discuss the partnership and why it’s needed.
Kyle explains that this partnership is about combining their knowledge.
“We’re trying to tap into what we already know…and [trying] to incorporate crime prevention ideas and the police into these conversations.”
