How The Changes to PBS Medication Affects People with IBS

From the 1st of September, Australians now have access to 60 days worth of prescription medication under the PBS – for half the price.

This change will positively impact a large number of people, including those with inflammatory bowel disease.

We sat down with Leanne Raven, CEO of Crohns and Colitis Australia to discuss what impacts this has on those who suffer with these lifelong conditions.

Leanne explains that this change in legislation will have a positive effect on many people suffering from inflammatory bowel diseases.

“There are lots of ups and downs and lots of costs for people [with inflammatory bowel diseases] in terms of making sure they get the best healthcare the can.”
