Business Ethics of QANTAS and Qatar Airways

As the fallout and subsequent controversy of the federal government rejecting Qatar Airways’ proposal to operate further flights into Australia continues, we sat down with UNE Business lecturer Dr Simon Burgess.

Dr Burgess has a keen interest in business ethics and ethical leadership, and has been working in these fields for many years. We discuss why ethics is important to businesses, why businesses should endeavour to act ethically, and whether or not QANTAS’ alleged lobbying of the government can be considered ethical.
