How you can help save turtles for turtle month
November is Turtle Month and what better way to celebrate than by getting out in nature and participating in a citizen science project! We caught up with Dr Deb Bower from UNE to discuss all things turtles, as well as how YOU can get involved using the TurtleSAT app.
The One Million Turtles project aims to aid conservation efforts for freshwater turtles across Australia. Dr Deb Bower says that while savings one million turtles seems like a massive challenge, if one million people each save on turtle, it becomes much more doable.
Using the TurtleSAT app, people can get involved in documenting turtle sightings, nesting sites, and habitats across the country. Listen to the interview to find out more!
