Join the Announcing Team!
We’re looking for passionate and dedicated students with a keen interest in news and affairs to join our pool of volunteers. As an on-air announcer you’ll be in charge of researching news topics across various disciplines, and announcing them on air.
Why You Should Apply:
The position gives you a foundational understanding of working in community radio, and helps you to develop your communication, research, and critical analysis skills. You get to have fun announcing on air, and sharing news that resonates with the wider UNE community.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Working with the programs coordinator to develop and produce short news pieces for on-air announcing
- Announcing songs, events, and news that is relevant to the wider UNE community
- Working with the operations manager to develop your skills in announcing
This role paves the way for further announcing and reporting opportunities down the line, including creating voice pieces and packages for the CBAA Newshub.
